Cybersecurity / Information Security Engineer (m/w/d)

Do you want to do more than just manage security—do you want to actively shape it?
In this key role, you’ll take responsibility for the ongoing development of our security infrastructure and ensure that security is built into our products and systems from the very beginning.
You’ll work closely with IT, development, and management teams to drive modern security standards forward in an innovative technology company.

Your Responsibilities:
Depending on your level of experience, you will handle operational security tasks or drive strategic security initiatives and architectural decisions.
• Responsibility for establishing, operating, and continuously improving our Information Security Management System (ISMS)
• Developing and implementing security policies, standards, and processes
• Promoting a strong security culture through training and awareness initiatives (e.g., via training platforms)
• Ensuring the IT security of our infrastructure (networks, endpoints, access management)
• Establishing and further developing a structured vulnerability and incident response management system
• Defining security requirements for embedded systems, IoT solutions, and cloud services
• Integrating security-by-design into our hardware and software development processes
• Conducting threat analyses, risk assessments, and code reviews
• Coordination of penetration tests and security audits
• Collaboration on certifications and compliance issues (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO/IEC 15408, ISO 21434)
• Close collaboration with the Information Security Board, IT, and development teams

Your Profile
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT security, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Entry-level to several years of experience in cybersecurity, ideally in an industrial or embedded environment
• In-depth knowledge of:

  • Embedded security & IoT security
  • Network security
  • Cryptography
  • Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)

• Experience with security standards and regulatory requirements
• Ideally, experience in establishing or further developing security structures in SMEs
• Analytical mindset and a holistic view of complex systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to position security as a business enabler
• Very good German and English language skills
• Team player with a high degree of initiative and motivation
