Hardware Development Engineer

Location: Budapest (with home office)

Your Responsibilities

  • Active participation in the electronic hardware design of portable IT devices with enhanced reliability requirements
  • Schematic design and layout of 4–12 layer rigid and flex PCBs
  • Manual soldering of electronic components (SMD, THT)
  • Assembly, testing, and further development of prototypes
  • Participation in testing and certification processes, as well as preparation of technical documentation
  • Supporting component sourcing and transition from development to serial production

Requirements

  • Higher education degree (BSc/MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field
  • At least 3 years of experience in electronic hardware development in high-reliability applications
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuit design and PCB design
  • Advanced proficiency in Altium Designer or other professional EDA software
  • Effective use of laboratory instruments and diagnostic tools
  • Confident soldering skills (SMD, THT) and experience using precision tools
  • Proactive, responsible team player with strong internal motivation
  • Confident Hungarian and English language skills, both written and spoken (German is an advantage)

Advantages

  • Experience in high-speed PCB design (USB 3, PCIe, GbE, DisplayPort)
  • Knowledge of simulation tools (LTspice, PSpice)
  • Microcontroller firmware development experience (Cortex-M)
  • Deeper-than-user-level knowledge of Linux and Windows systems
  • Experience in high-frequency technology and antenna design
  • Knowledge of adhesive technologies
  • Rapid prototyping experience (e.g., 3D printing)
  • Willingness to travel and Category B driving license
