- Develop and validate assembly concepts, with a focus on manufacturability, efficiency and process robustness.
- Design and develop jigs, fixtures and assembly aids to support and optimize production processes.
- Plan and execute hands-on trials and test setups to validate buildability and assembly feasibility in line with DfA principles.
- Take ownership of buildability assurance and evaluate design changes from a production perspective, acting as the “voice of production.”
- Identify and implement improvements to product designs and assembly processes, focusing on quality, cost and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with lead engineers, quality management, production and suppliers to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
- Support NPI projects from concept and prototyping through validation and successful transfer into production.

- Strong 3D CAD skills, preferably Autodesk Inventor, plus experience with prototyping and 3D printing.
- Experience with jig & fixture design, assembly and joining technologies, and a solid understanding of DfA.
- Strong hands-on mentality, combined with analytical and solution-oriented thinking.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production-oriented design.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, production, quality and suppliers.
